Evan Townsend emergency medicine career start.
He was the face of emergency medicine for the first 15 years of his career, where he was directly involved in the action. Towns like San Andreas saw him coming in the ambulances with the victims of crashes and shootings, and this was where he did his patch-ups. But, as he tells, each and every call that ended with death was like putting a mark on his soul. Over the years, what drove him was replaced by what now consumes him. Instead of adrenaline rush, now he has a burning desire to know the cause of death, not just how to save lives.
After turning in his paramedic badge, he took on the role of Coroner in Bone County and is now the one in charge of autopsies and investigations involving death in the area. To be honest, getting off the ambulance and getting into the quiet of the mortuary was even better than he expected. His past exposure to the field makes him an understanding and empathetic person towards the responders and also facilitates his recognition of trauma patterns. Those who know him say that he is characterized by his accuracy and that he is very much affected by the nature of the calls, which is why he often goes to the site of crashes to get a first-hand understanding of the scene. Evan is still very much committed to his old ways as evidenced by the fact that he keeps his EMT kit in his car, a thing that he has never given up.
